Did they supply the brighter Phillips side light bulbs too?

They did supply some Blue side light bulbs, but I haven't fitted them as I was going to check first if they are legal or not.

Have you or anyone else fitted these?

Which bulbs have you got? If they are the phillips ones they are light blue in colour they are designed to produce a bright white light. If they are cheaper versions and show a blue light when illuminated they are illegal as a headlight can only show a white or yellow light.

Cheers for the information

All I can really say at the moment is they are blue, they didn't really come in any special packaging like the H7's so it makes me think they are the cheap and illegal ones. Ill try and fit them the weekend and see what happens, i'll let you know.

Laughing That's cheap for their bulbs, considering a set of driving lamps can cost this. Laughing

Do the http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-LED-E...egree.html result in a BUS error message or do they have a corresponding load to prevent this? E.g. the Pilot LEDs are BUS system suited.

Could these also be used for the courtesy lights and interior overhead lights (front row / second row) ?

Regards, Paul

Any thoughts on an upgrade for the static cornering lights? Anyone installed an upgrade for those?

Plus maybe one for the reversing lights? Could sure use some more lumen there, or is my age beginning to make demands.... Big Cry

all the D3s u have had don't have bulb monitoring si you don't need the canbus type bulb. You can replace the interior lights with LEDs

Xenon for cornering lights?

Hi all,

I'm still looking for the best solution to upgrade the static cornering light. This is the H8 35W bulb that is not available in e.g. Philips X-treme Power range. Nor any of the other +80% - +90% type of bulbs.

How to upgrade the static cornering lights so that they light up the world more than the OEM halogen currently in there... Has anyone tried fitting real Xenons in there? With balast and all. I'm not sure this can be done since the corner lights dimm out when you come out of your turn, they don't switch of but dimm. Is that compatible with Xenon / balast kit?

Regads, Paul
