The 90 days bit is wear & tear, component failure (not attributable to w&t) is straight away. Obviously if you take out a policy on Monday and have a claim Tuesday they will check carefully. The turbo on SWMBO's old D3 failed 3 weeks out of LR warranty and 10 days into the Tesco warranty, no problems with the claim.
How far out of LR warranty is your car? If not to far you could try for good will help from them.
Hadn't considered it before - not fully sure if it is the turbo yet, I don't want to be sneaky, but £2,200 + whatever else they find is a big hole - WD quoted £845 last week...... Shame I didnt think as I had some worn bushes and rear wishbones done in Nov and spent £1,400 - when will I learn!!!Mitch
