Hi all,
Sorry for more questions!
I've got a rather annoying rattle in the D4, I've traced it to the lower glove box now, I've given everything that moves a spray with silicone spray, it still seems to squeak though. Where the silver opening catch is, if I press down there, the squeak seems to go away. The whole glove box door doesn't seem to shut very tight it seems, is there a way to tighten the catch?
Many thanks
James

My lower glove box used to rattle, and I found that it was the pins at the bottom (hinges) that were much narrower than the hole they went through. I cured it by feeding a small piece of plastic into the gap and around the pin. From memory, I think I used a bit of a door protection strip (the stuff that you cut off to length to put on the trailing edge of doors).

It depends upon what's rattling. Unfortunately they wouldn't have solved my issue.

Hi guys
The felt pads and the door protection strips seem to have done the trick, no more rattles in the front
It's now developed a rather annoying rattle/squeak form the rear of the car!!
Sounds almost like the rear seats or rear load doors, I've given it a go over with silicone but still there : (
