Lpfp useless garage with video

Well anyways the saga continues
After having a breakdown suspect lpfp and no time to do it myself ( will make time next time ) the disco went on a recovery truck to a local " recommended " indie .
New pump fitted almost 2 weeks later and a hefty bill great cars running lovely goes to fill up and left about 2 gallon on the forecourt back to the indie " sorry loose jubilee on filler neck " ok goes away still leaking went in for four wheel tracking and " the leaks all sorted it was what had pooled in the tray " ok
Next fill up and yes 2 gallon on the forecourt,phoned indie bring it in when you've ran the fuel off then sorry got no ramp space . Well

off I says will do it my self.
So today is service day full works oil and filters , now let's look at this tank , dropping it is more arkward than hard working alone , this is what confronts me
The lpfp is loose with the green seal half way inside the tank and the outring just sitting on top of the tank 10 mins later I have refitted everything its now solid in place the pipework is now refitted and the sevice is complete all done in 3 hours
Hopefully all done

Got there link posted this top one shows the movement and where when I filled up the diesel was spilling from
This second one you can see the green seal sitting correctly and no movement
Apologies for the quality but I had diesel all over and the sun was very hot

Been and filled up held my breathe and relax no pool of diesel on the floor

Been out this morning can't help but keep checking for fuel leaks and there is none so

problem solved

All transmission oil replaced

And as a thank you for letting me fix your fuel tank and have a yearly service you can have a wash and brush up only the outside mind you and if your good you can have an interior valet next week

Whenever I have paid somebody to do something for me I have always ended up disappointed.

If I do the job and its not quite right i know what I have cocked up and can fix it.

I often look at other peoples cars/boats that have had work done on them and have to bite my tongue as I can see one fault after another, so just imagine what you cant see!

You are damm right
Apart from the lpfp I had to reattach the pipe work correctly and reattach the heat shied as that was bent up a wedged in
