LR Driving Light Switch with Hella's, is it possible?
My dealer ordered in the LR factory switch for driving lights. The back of the switch has a connector which fits the LR harness for driving lights. Has anyone fitted the factory switch to a Hella wiring harness? if so, what pins on the switch did you use. The dealer is checking to see if he can order only the portion of the wiring harness that connects to the switch itself, but it doesn't look promising.was 00 D2 > then 04 D2 > now 05 LR3

I have no clue as the the answer to your question, but wouldn't it be cool to have the Hella's connected to the pullout function of the light switch that nomally activates the rear fog lamps?
That would be cool.

So you're one of THOSE that likes to drive around just with side lights and fog lights on when it's a perfectly clear day! Apart from being illegal in the UK it's bloody annoying and definitely not 8)

When it comes to having a set of rear fogs blazing brighter than the sun I totally agree with your issues Si - especially when it's only misty or raining - but when was the last time you were blinded by the front fogs???

you'all must have brighter rear fogs that we do in the States. It's just a band of red LED's low down on the rear tailight assembly. They are brighter than the tail driving lights, about on par with the brake lights, but less conspicous due to size.
but when was the last time you were blinded by the front fogs???
Frequently, if the roads were flat it wouldn't be a problem, but there's blooming hills in them and (especially in sleepy Surrey as you must have noticed) pot holes the size of the Mariana Trench and speed bumps the size of Everest!
And, yes, rear ones are even more annoying The End

Regretably, the people that I know that wanted to use the factory switch bought the OEM lights and used the included harness/switch... and sold the lights without the extra bits to another victim.

Your's must be different to mine!.
Pulling the switch out to the first click turns on the front fog lamps. To turn on the back lamps, you need to pull it out to the second click. Maybe is just an Australian thing.
But I agree, running fog lights in the day when there is no fog is bloody annoying and hazardous!
