LR not bottom of reliability list... |
|
...but they are second from bottom
Still paying the price for the old Freelander and early D3 troubles perhaps?

There was another post on another forum about this one. When you go to the source of the figures the year models you find LandRover the latest year is 2002!

So maybe this is a long term reliability figure and so LRs will be the old disco and freelanders. Not very current models at all. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

This was confirmed on Radio 2 this evening. Chris Evans interviewed the chap from the the survey (an extended warranty provider), and he confirmed the data was for older vehicles in extended warranty.

3 to 9 years old.
Mind you, I've had three Freelander's (LR's most unreliable apparently) since they were launched, current one is an old W reg.
None have ever stopped or failed to start.

My ex-2001 D2 was the most reliable vehicle I have ever driven. 108,000 miles from new without a problem (well other than an ABS software recall in its early life), can't expect any more than that!
Touching wood, no problems to date with my 06 D3.
