Mind you neither look impressed with the tailgate arrangement.

Hi
Thks, got too much time on my hands and enjoy doing projects in the winter time
Will indeed update the thread when I work everything out
Ur welcome and heartbreaking to loose a dear pet which become part of the family
Blimey that must have been a nail biting time and ur stomach churned in knots
My lab is getting heavy trying to help in and out the disco , always worried her legs will go under her or land funny so ensure I always help her
Milly my bichon had pyometra and nearly lost her , she was spayded and fingers crossed now ok
Beagles are lovely dogs with plenty of character
Here’s my two ( ps candy didn’t eat the bird )
Yes it was a testing time. Touch and go for a while. They said he might live 9 months but luckily he got his full term.
They're a nice pair of dogs. Do they get along ok? My folks had a Bichon many years ago. Lovely dog that suited them down to the ground. Glad Milly is on the mend now. Best wishes to her.
[EDIT] Here's our 2, looking guilty!!!
Best regards,
Jason

Hi Jason
Sorry to hear that , but at least in once sense allowed u more time
Awesome looking dogs u have there
Yes they both get on really well, milly is the boss, she will walk up to candy and take a bonio out of her mouth and candy let’s her do it
Candy will often use milly as a pillow in the back of the disco , am lucky with them getting on so well and best of buddies , candy is 9 , milly is 8
My parents have stopped having dogs now after 70 x years as there both 90 and don’t want to take on the responsibility anymore, so they will often come out on walks with me

If anyone wants a really good telescopic ramp, that’s up to a lifetime of every day use, google “solvit” and “telescopic”.
Unfortunately, the prices seem to have gone up in inverse proportion to the decline in the value of sterling but it’s still going to be a lot better VFM than any of this stuff
It’s good to see that Land Rover realise that some people still want to use their cars for everyday practical stuff At least this stuff isn’t designed for their sky diving customers that want to raise their rear seats in mid air (you really couldn’t make that utter cobblers up!).2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Yes, another vote for Solvit. I’ve got their double telescopic ramp. It also fits perfectly across the boot width at the back of the car. With by boot buddy (liner) back in, it fits between that and the bottom closer on the car. They also do a carry bag for it so you can put it in when it’s muddy and to stop any hard edges marking the car.
The only issue I have found with them (I’ve had two over the years) is that the gripping surface wears away with the dogs claws (which always go in the same place as the climb up). This is worse when the car doesn’t quite lower properly ( you know, sometimes it decides when to go down that final last bit - why does it do that by the way?) or the bottom of the ramp is in a dip. But this has happened after 8 years or so of constant use and my current dog is very large so with smaller dogs it would probably last longer. Currently trying to find something to recover the grip surface and a process for removing the old and applying new.
CheersGary

I bought a Solvit ramp too but it seems to slippery for the old girl to climb up, she tries to hold on to the ramp with her nails which doesn't work. I was planning to put non-slip rubber on it to see if she has less issues.
And we're back to 3 dogs as of last weekend, after losing our old boy late last year.

Our girl on the right at 11 still jumps in as well but I'd rather she didn't, which is why I got the ramp.2016 D4 TDV6 Corris Grey

What a great photo IndusD4!
I find it helps a lot if I get Ben to not start from the very bottom of the ramp, but 3 feet or so back. That way he accelerates on a solid surface and he doesn’t then scrabble on the ramp itself.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
