LR Roof Rail.... or no roof rail......?
Is it just me, or should I expect an actual rail that you could tie things to when I got my Disco? What I seem to have are two trackes that could have something fitted into them, but no actual rails. Am I being a bit thick..........?Bodsys Brake Bible
That is correct - you can get the LR crossbars $$$ or another brand to add accessories or a rack, etc.
Some models do not have the rails (tracks) and need those first.David

Yup Bodsy, that's all you get.
If you imtend to carry 'up on top' you will need Crossbars as debregman mentions.
You may then need the required fixing ie for Ski's, Kayak, Luggage Carrier etc depending what you carry.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

What about people on Double Decker Buses, Offices, above Bridges etc ?
They'll all see a dirty roof!!!
Don't need steps Bodsy -
Stand on Rear Bumper & wash rear roof
Stand on both Rear O/S & N/S Door Sills [not at same time!!]
Stand on both front O/S & N/S Door Sills [assuming you cann't reach the front from the rear!!]I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

That's a practised description there Ron, I'll give it a go next time (probably after boughrood) I don't have a problem with getting her dirty, but I think the level of mud coverage from some of the Salisbury clips were a littel excessive............ Bodsys Brake Bible

You could write messages to GreenPeace in the roof-mud...
[edit] I too expected a real rail when I purchased my car, and was surprised by the tracks instead (my previous test driven MY06 cars all had real rails). Shame really as I already had the right crossbars for real rails...Dr. Ian Malcolm:

All D3 have the same track, plus crossbar system, so I dont see how you can have driven any D3, 06 or otherwise with real rails. Last LR with that system was D2.
