Now it's cold again, my D3 is very lumpy when running for the first 3-4 minutes. (By very lumpy I mean the whole car shakes).
I had the same problem in the cold last year, but LR said no fault codes = nothing wrong.
It 'sounds' like one or two cylinders aren't firing correctly, but when she's warm she runs smoothly.
Any idea's?
Any suggestions for a cure?
I've tried running the glow plugs for longer, doesn't make any difference.
if a glow plug wasn't working correctly/was faulty, would I expect to see a fault code reported?
Thanks
Ollie
PS - rescued a car that had spun off the road on black ice last night, pulled up at a 30 Degree angel - thought it would never do it, (I own a 110 which I take off road occasionally), low range, ice setting and DSC off - well blow me, she pulled with no fuss at all, I was amazed This Game of Ghosts

Ollie,
I think you can still have glow plug problems without error codes.
I had similar issues and got LR out to look at them, he didn't find any related error codes but when he lifted the bonnet the 'glow plug wiring loom' was unplugged (the dealer forgot to plug it back in after a service last month).

YTA,
Yes, I saw your post and thought about the harness, I'm going to have a wee look now.
I think it maybe that I have a few glow plugs that are lazy!
Cheers
