If you make a "swing away" spare wheel mount and a g4 look-a-like roof rack first. I will be your biggest fan
I will be next in the queue for both of these!
Completely agree with professorpool’s comments about up coming market too - I have just bought a disco 3 for exactly this and have made quite a few mods already in the 4 weeks I’ve owned it, but had to go 2nd hand for most of it due to price. I just can’t understand why parts that cost me £40-£50 on my defender or D1 cost £300+ for my D3.
In terms of other suggestions, a system similar to the D44 under body armour but at a much more realistic price would be good too.2007 Discovery 3 HSE

I agree on above posts suggesting D3s are now within the price range that paying 4-7k will get you a decent D3 base or s spec vehicle so why buy a less comfortable D2 just to save a grand or two? So believe there will be a market very soon for all types of offroad/overlander add ons.
I personally wanted to add a winch bumper and a winch to my D3 but apparently it works out cheaper to rent a tractor for a day to pull you out when/if get stuck somewhere......they are like 2-3k to purchase and have them fitted.
Long story short I would also be very interested in;
G4 roof rack
Rock sliders (not tubular)
Full undercover protection
Front winch bumper
Hope you start manufacturing them. Good luck!!

These are hellishly expensive at £180 and can be made from conduit. Knock those out for a sensible price and the Oztent boys will be queueing up to take one off your hands.

Another one for swing away carriers or even a bumper with integrated carrier mounts.
Like a Kaymar bumper without the £2000+ price.
Most I’ve seen are £900+ for a carrier.
Cheaper ones look like something Stevie Wonder made up and have the quality to match.
What about these ones?
I've had a look up close at a couple of shows now and can't really see a viable alternative for a reasonable price.

I have an ARB bumper on the front of mine (fitted by the previous owner) - as rare as hens teeth to get.
I personally believe, again, the raptor alternative is about the only option at a reasonable rate.

Definite market this, a rear ladder like the OEM one but better quality. I've been missing mine for a month whilst the dealer tries to source a new replacement one that doesn't arrive with corrosion before they even fit it.I think they have had 3 delivered so far that they sent back!MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Give up with the LR ladder and get a Prospeed one. Much better design
But they still rust eventually with the normal powder coating. Can’t comment on the raptor version!

The finish or the design?
I was only commenting on the design as the Prospeed ladder has an additional step to the RHS of the tailgate handle, so you don’t have to swing your leg up over the handle to get to the first step.
I thought it was a better design as it made it a bit easier to use.

It’s only 2 years old and rusting in many areas, it’s under warranty so they need to fix it. I had the same problem on my last d4s ladder too with it rusting on the top but not as bad as this one it’s a right state. I did say give me my money back and I’ll sort it myself but that’s not an option st the moment. The Finnish quality is terrible. I would say the one I had on my d3 was much better.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Neither had I while it was on a D3, but on removing it to move it to a D4 I doscovered the plate behind the handle had virtually disappeared.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It hangs under the bumper by a fair bit and would be the first thing to get hit off road due to reducing the departure angle.
Don’t like that idea as the bottom of my bumper is all scraped and marked as it is.
So far my solution is a front runner roof rack wheel holder. But I still want a swing away carrier at some point.
