How many guests?

Why are there so many guests?
Is it members just looking and not bothering to log in?
Or is it something more sinister?
Like G.P. infiltrators planning a raid!

The time now is Wed Jan 10 2007 1:53pm. There are 53 users online: 13 Registered, 1 Hidden and 39 Guests

I don't always log in when viewing from my client's site as some of the avatars are not really office friendly. If I view without logging in they don't have to stare in horror at the various images DD inflicts upon us poor members.

Crawlers? programs designed to crawl the web looking for keywords to report back to the search engines. It's how Google and others work; crawlers go out and view the web and compile lists of info on screens. If you search google for DiscoDad and Silver for example it will refer you to a certain recent poll and can do so because Google's crawlers have told it the thread exists.

You can set your site up so the crawlers are denied access but forums thrive and grow on new members, which the likes of Google bring by the hundreds.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Who dear? Me dear? Corpulent dear? No Dear! Just because a man shows his midriff like this doesn't mean he loves the pies dear. The very idea!

I'm logged in but not shown as registered user logged in. Maybe it's something with the site.
