Mine is an early build, Oct 23 2004 now with 26k miles, only semi-serious problem was on software side. Fuel tepm sensor/ECU software issue, which reduced the engine power, sorted by new software. No other real issues.

apart from the rejected one in 2005, this one has had a compressor replaced and a mirrror/seat memory module. At 30,000 miles i swear its running smoother than ever (just had its service) is quicker and keener to accelerate etc. So no real issues, i love it, but a V8 RRS does look like a possible replacement in Otober.....nah, i/ll have another one please Carole. From the very first day I picked the D3 up it has had minor problems (some mechanical and most electrical). On the first day the A/C didn't cool, the refrigerant had leaked out
Not once have I been able to go from 6 month service to the next 6 month month service without at least one unschedule repair.
It is by far the best vehicle owned (and I've had a few) but it is the worst for dealer visits and annoying problems.

16k miles since April 06, Cruise Control played up once (pre- enhancements), not recurred. PTI problems, new cradle & another download sorted this out. Steering wheel has started to wear , due to be replaced next week.
Great allrounder & I'll replace it with another one.

20 months, 39k, nothings gone wrong that couldn't easily be fixed under warranty. Dealers are still the biggest issue, find a good one and stick with them The End

9 months and 23000 km (around 7000km off-road) - only fault so far was a leaky washer bottle. Best car I've ever owned.

Just reached 40000 kms (25000 miles) yesterday, since last March. No running problems. A faulty connection in the tow-bar electrics was corrected under warranty.
Very happy

Hey, im new to the Forum and not very good in english and neither in mechanics!
I discovered this great Forum searching information on how to put an IPOD to AUX to my very basic LHD DISCO3 TDV6 S AUTO+terrainresponse. no other grimmics,
didnt yet find the red-blue and black cables to make the connection to the IPOD but i am still investigating.
I was surprised by all the problems with DISCO3/LR3 around the world!
As a convinced DEFENDER driver (a 90 for 5 years now a 110 TD5 - my wife use it every day long) a'm still, and even every day a more greater LANDROVERENTHUSIAST, now driving my DISCO3 for 2 years (03/2005) with 70.000 KM.
I know it costs a lot of money and they still have to make a lot of improvements with reliability!
My dealer made some software updates, changed the coolant expansion bottle, fixed a bad battery contact (-) making starting difficult ... remember the same problem with old MINI and other english cars..., my driver seat still goes down by his own - not yet fixed, and they changed left in the engine bay a black box marked VOLVO (it seams it concerns alarm-siren).
Now this is nothing, compared to the fantastic driving experience, on and off-road, with this dreamcar (and the other LR as well as my Defender) and my only problem for the moment .... i touch some wood ... is the hight of the DISCO3 entering most of Europeen parkinghouses in metroareas... got a lot of scratches in my roof
NICE TO MEET YOU
