Maximum foolhardiness!

I am hopefully picking up a 2011 D4 SDV6 XS next week and will be driving Rennes on Friday and coming back to the north on Sunday. The car itself was a farmer’s car but has been serviced quite well. Everything was working when I test drove it last week but obviously that’s no guarantee it will behave. The round trip is about 1300 miles. Any advice about prepping for the worst?

Change engine oil, filter and airfilter.
Clean oil has never harmed an engine.

Thank you all for your replies. The car performed admirably except for a moment with a low coolant warning. Stopped and checked for leaks. Couldn’t find any. Topped it a little. No issues since. Very happy with it. D3 2004
