mirrors fold on locking

My D4 hse has come with this feature enabled - every time I lock the damn thing the mirrors fold in! Can I disable it or is it a dealer thing?

Thanks Ed

dealer according to manual.

why does it bug you so much? i had read manual before it was delivered and made a point of not wanting this enabled.

when i picked it up I missed that it had been with all the excitement but have lived with it and now like it!

if nothing else i would forever be checking if i had remembered to lock the car and this is a visual sign of that Thumbs Up

try it for while and if you still don't like it a trip to the dealers is on the cards

I like this feature as it means i can quickly look out of the window, or when walking away, I can see that its locked

I want to be able to turn it off so that in the winter when the car gets covered in snow and freezes up overnight, come the morning when I want to open the car it doesn't trash the finish or the motors on the mirrors. This happened to me last year when I was away and the guy in the car parked next to me made a right mess when he unlocked his car.

its a dealer thing. I have the same.

its more of a problem for me when towing. if I lock the car with the towing mirrors attached I will end up with tow great big dents in the door !!

Hi Edd, it makes laugh , on my RRS I want the mirrors to fold when I to turn off the engine, but I have to , manually fold'em!! we are never happy are we ! However I am sure you should be able to disable the feature if the car has come with it
