mirrors intermitant folding

on my MY10 D4 ive noticed that the mirrors dont always fold when i lock the car on the remote and i have to unlock and relock to get them to fold

any ideas why this might be happening as there dosent seem to be a consistent pattern MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

I have a 2010 D4 with keyless entry and think i may have intermitant drivers door latch as i went out to the car thinking id left my keys in the front of the car and the drivers door opened and the alarm went off.

turned out keys were in doors well out of range so re locked the car and again put keys out of range

went out to the car and all the doors were locked but the drivers door opened and alarm again went off :
are the actuators on the doors the same on the d4 as the D3 as i know the d3 ones fail regularly and is the replacement as awkward on the D4 as the one i did on my d3 which was a real fiddily job.

ps would this explain my mirror issue ? also have been experiencing the odd double beep on locking which when youve got keyless is a pain sometimes needs unlock and relock to clear double beep. MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

I have a 2016 HSE and it does the same from time to time ..... unlock and relock on the key fob.. has always worked to date.... just another LR foible it seems..... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

i fixed the door lock with a new actuator but dont recall if this resolved the mirror issue but i dont remember this being an ongoing thing so it may well have

mind you that was 3 years ago
