Mountain Bikes

Guys.

Want to carry two mountain bikes on the back of my disco , I have the removable tow bar.

What are my options ? any advice ? was in halfords at the weekend and they only had nasty strapon systems,

Cheers
Barry

At this very moment I have just finished putting together a Thule Ride On for 2 bikes, as recommended by many on this forum.

Seems a good piece of kit and around £70 online or a bit more from the shops. Check out Thule and I think it is the 9402. It comes with a light board and a 7 pin plug.

BTW I saw the 3 bike version in my local Halfords today for £99 so I presume that they sell them but may have limited stock.

I use a Pendle rack mounted on the tow ball. Works a treat and can easily carry bewteen 1 and 4 mountain bikes without any risk of harm to vehicle or loss of bike. Takes seconds to secure the carrier and a few seonds more to secure the bike(s).

Look at :

I've just tested the Thule Bike carrier and it, amazingly to me, grips the tow ball and seems very solid.

Can vouch for the Thule 9403 ("3 bike"), which tilts to allow access to the upper rear door, and takes 2 adult plus 2 junior bikes (ie 4 bikes total) in comfort - rock solid. Very Happy
Don't put it off, go for it!

Love this forum! Mr. Green
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Do you just tie the kid's bikes to the adult ones? I want to see if I can get away with 2 kids and 1 adult on my 2 bike Thule Ride On.

Cheers.
