MP3 CDs in the Disco's CD Player

Hi,

Is there a particular way that you have to put your MP3 files onto CD, in order that the Disco's CD Player will put on the display the Track name. Currently the Player just shows that I'm playing track 4/255 so if I want to play a particular tune I've got to TAB through the disc to roughly the right number and play each track's intro to find the one I want.

Cheers,

I put my albums on seperate ..so for example it might have 15 albums , each with 15 songs (225 songs )

That way you dont have to scroll through the 225 songs for a particular one ...just select the appropriate folder first

hope that makes sence

Oh and no track names unfortunatly

I burn my discs using ROXIO but specify that it's a music Jukebox, then when you play it shows track number eg. 10/15 (10 of 15) but also shows the album number eg. 02/10. I'll post a picture later.
You still have to scroll through the tracks though, i need to experiment if you can skip albums.

Voice control works up to 99. Haven't been able to get it to work past 100 though.

I made the same mistake and thought that the songs of one album would stay together but clearly it's a mess now.
Can you give the different folder any name?

don't know if this will help but here goes

the root of the cd is classed as the 1st folder and any folders created will be seen as folder 2 to ...... depending on how many you fit on the cd.
if you don't put any files in the root but only add folders then the first one will be seen as folder 2.
there is no limit as to how many folders you can add or to how many files you can add to each folder except for the limit of the disk size.
therefore i put each album in its own folder and as you don't see the tags or names i usually name them as folder1, folder2, and so on.

hope this helps

Chris.

Is there a way to name/numberthe tracks, i made a cd yesterday and all the tracks are mixed up from there original order for some reason.

I must admit i only created the MP3's with "FREEripper" software from the original cd's i had, so i let the software name/number them.

Regards Pete

02 - .......
03 - .......
04 - .......

and so on which keeps them in the order i want

You are all very lucky gents - on the base system you do get the option to play MP3's on a CD Crying or Very sad let alone what order they are in.

Very Happy

Is it possible to change the installed CD player with another one make/model that does actually work as an MP3 player rather than a CD Player of MP3 files?
