MPG
For anyone considering buying a TDV6 & concerned about MPG, I thought the following might be helpful.
With just over 2000 miles on the clock, I drove from Bath to London on the M4 driving "normally" at c.75-85mph. Crossed London from west-east in bad traffic, drove around the East End in really bad traffic & then headed north to pick up the M25 & then back home on the M4 at similar speeds.Air conditioning was on all the time.
Computer showed an average of 26.7mpg, real figure for the journey was 25.6mpg (using the same diesel pump & filling until first click of the pump).
With the amount of stop start drivng in London I was very impressed by this figure, which is similar to many big saloons I have owned.
I could have achieved better mpg, with more careful driving & I'd expect an improvement as the engine "loosens up". From what I've read here, a TurboChip re-map can further improve mpg as well.
Is yours a manual or auto TDV6? Sounds like a manual as I only get around 22mpg on my commutes to work (22 miles, mainly dual carriageway). Towing our twin-axle caravan, it does around 18-19mpg. I've got my name down for a TurboChip upgrade which I hope might improve things somewhat. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

I'm down the low end as well. Not done many long runs yet, but only getting 20ish around town.
Bit dissapointed, I must admit, but hoping the combination of TurboChip and a few more miles will see it go up a chunk.2018 1.5Ti Skoda Octavia - dull as f&ck

Re:MPG
Probably not a good time to mention my latest figure - 12mpg That's what you get for V8 muscle and the weight penalty of 23 environmentalists chained to the car
On a more positive note I have seen 25mpg on a run......in the wife's Subaru

Sorry, should have stated, it's an Auto HSE '06. I'm wondering if the '06 gives better mpg. Certainly IMO, my '06 model is a better drive than the '05 models I have driven, as others who have had the '06 downloads will verify.
Should also add, that the only Diesel I've ever used has been the normal Shell.

We have covered 7000 miles and are now getting over 28 MPG mostly driving "B" roads, however this fig drops to 26.5 when my wife drives...bloody annoying really. http://www.island-weather.co.uk

What diesel are you using? On the busy route (A & B roads) to my office I still get around 25 mpg.

Mixed driving sees 27-28 mpg from my auto and is after 2000 miles as economical as the first D3 I had with 23k on the clock. I have just done a journey down to Dorset Devon border and then local short trips totaling 390 miles with the motorway driving at 80-90 and it has averaged by the computer 27.0mpg! Fantastic I reckon.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Mine's an Auto HSE 06 too - wonder why my mpg is not as good as yours . I use the cruise control as much as I can, keep to 70 on motorways etc and am generally very gentle with the car. (My last car (a Citroen C5) was still on its original brake pads after 63000+ miles).
I normally use Shell diesel for 2 reasons:
1. the filling station is 300 yards from my house
2. it's the cheapest one in Darlington - even matches the supermarkets on price! Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

hell - what's wrong with mine then! It's done 8000+ now and I've yet to see 25mpg Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills
My 06 HSE TDV6 auto has now done 2,000 miles and I constantly get an average of 25mpg (as reported by dash). It may very between 23-26 if I reset it on a particular journey, but within another trip or the following day it is back to 25mpg. That is with a mix of local and longer distance driving.Matt
Ah, I know what it is - my computer is the only one telling the truth!!!!!Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

My computer is fairly "bullish". Actual calculations show that it reads at least 1mpg over. However, it is an average figure not a precise figure.
I do accelerate fairly gently, if I drive it as I would one of my other cars I'd loose at least 2-3mpg.
Albourneboy, try doing some precise manual calculations, could just be your computer is lying!
