MTRs fitted

Got the MTRs fitted today. Well pleased.

Initial impressions are good. I was more than a bit concerned about the increased noise, but the increase is very nominal and something that you will get used to after a couple of days.

Remembering that these tyres are still green and slimey (only done 20 miles) the grip is very good on the road, very predictable with good initial bite on turn in to a corner. As I said they are still green so i'll properly push them on the road once I've a few hundred miles done and they are scrubbed. I want to know what they are capable of compared to the pirellis.

One big difference to the pirelli scorpions is how they deal with standing water. The pirellis sqee-gee'd the water out in front of the car back onto the windscreen. The MTRs don't seem to do this. Standing water is like it ain't there...well impressed, although it would all depend on the amount of water. I'm only talking about roadside deep puddles.

My concerns and fears are all laid to rest. Phew!!

Looking forward to getting them in the muck. Just need to get me a spare now.
