I cleaned the D3 yesterday. Due to the amount of sand and caked on mud, I got the pressure washer out and cleaned it on the road, so the sand stayed off my drive. There was loads of it. My road is now yellow.

Maybe someone reported me for using a hosepipe. It took me about an hour!

Also had to clean the interior. Everything was covered with a fine yellow dust.

My 90 was (well, still is) completely full of sand Embarassed

Does everyone remeber Ed telling us that there were quite a few items under the D3 that needed bagging in order to protect them? MAybe this is one such item, maybe it isn't.

Matt, you didn't think to go through a car wash before you got home and gave your neighbours a present Very Happy

I've been trying to keep it out of the rain, but we've just had a massive thunder storm. Ahhhhhhh, I'm losing it..... Sad Sad

Would that be the
"Hey, Here's Stu, the butch guy with the off roader"
or the
"Look at that mucky pup Stu, just you wait till I tell his mother about this"
look? Very Happy

It took four jet washes and 16 quid just to do the underside of mine Very Happy ...the geezer in the garage was none too pleased about the mountain of earth left behind either.

I'm not really bothered about the rest of the dirt ....doing the Peaks in a couple of weeks ...wouldn't want to waste too much energy Wink

Go and buy yourself a good quality pressure washer. You will soon pay for it in saved jet wash charges.

I have an electric Karcher and a major league petrol one that'll clean barnacles off the bottom of a ship ....but as Slimer has already indicated there is a hosepipe ban on and since Thames Water has also applied for a drought order as well ...all the local garages have stopped people using their machines - I had to drive to bleeding Guildford to get outside of the 'zone' Crying or Very sad
