Hi, I need to fit a towbar to tow my caravan and I am thinking of buying a multi height one. Will this interfere with the parking sensors on my 06 SE? or do I need to get the detachable one.
Thanks.

hi, makes no difference to your parking sensors, just one is more heavy duty than the other one.
the multi height one is more expensive but much more heavy duty, depends on what your towing really and of course your buget.

Thanks,
I think I will get a multi height one, then I can tow anything without worrying if the towbar is up to it. 06 DISCO 3 SE AUTO

I didnt think the load ratings were any different between the multiheight or detachable towbars.

Likewise; the MH unit has the side bars to transmit any forces off the "standard" row height, counter lateral forces and to mate with the LR bike carrier. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

The multi-height also has holes to attach the breakaway cable without hooking it over the ball. As the most frequently occurring trailer detachment failure is a fracture just below the ball, the cable really needs to be onto a separate part of the tow vehicle. In my professional capacity I would advise that the detachable tow-ball be used only for unbraked trailers, regardless of what pull it is able to withstand.
