Multimedia Inteface Connection HELP (Wiggs)

I have purchase off flebay a multimedia interface (LR03NF) which looked like the answer to all my prayers!

It says in the instructions connet the unit via the GVIF connecter to the "Under Drivers Seat Navigation Box" I have looked at the unit under the drivers seat of my HSE and the unit under tha passenger seat and cannot see a connecter of this type (see below) sorry about the fingers.

The unit looks like this

HELP please I know this is a wiggs call

Thanks i will look again later. I take it the long blue cable labeled rear is connected to the positive feed for the reversing light ?

Where did you connect the cable labeled "Parking" ?

Is there an easy 12V feed under the seat or do i need to bring one back from the dash?

and yes its got the VGA input?

Do you have a quick guide and shopping list to get the usb touchscreen interface working ?

Many thanks in advance

Yep blue lead connects to the + on the revesing lights .

Can be taken from the fuse box ( revesing light fuse ) with a piggy back fuse connector

Parking wire ...just join to the negative wire .

I have not installed mine so i just used the ciggy lighter plug at the back of the consul while testing.

There is a live in the big multiplug ( right hand side of the sat nav unit ) i can find out the colour if you wanna hack into there .

Not realy got a full list as i got stuff from different suppliers . Most of the parts are listed on the thred .

Pm Bobbycrispbox as he has done it also ..he may have a list .

How did you get on with this - watching with interest.

Was it this one you got from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0303856167

Does the VGA interface work ok? I know wiggs has struggled with his?

Is this the unit that switches with a press of the nav button?

Doubt it as the latest one i have has RGB connectors on it ...

Its proberly whatever his suppliers have !!! ..it would be just my luck to order one and get the RGB insted of VGA ...then couldn't do much about it as he hasent advertised the VGA Sad

Australia

I took a risk and ordered one of these ones off ebay. It turned up today but with RGBS instead of VGA Evil or Very Mad

I'm scouring google for how to convert a vga signal (which includes hsync and vsync) to a RGBS (with common sync) to see if I can still use this to get a reasonably high-quality computer output on my satnav screen.

Has anyone been here already?
