Muppet in Audi came worse off I think |
|
Just been rammed at traffic lights (well about 6pm) by a guy in a 57 plate Audi A3. Sorry no photo,s But can say the Audi was a bit of a mess , smashed front grill , bumper and dented bonnet. D3 popped the grooved bit on top of bumper (just pushed it back in) few little scuffs/ scratches on bumper and nearly cut through the black plastic cover for the electrics .
Anything else I should check? or just take it to local indie and let him look at it?
Ps neck/back hurting a bit now Now Renault Trafic

My sympathy, having had a bad smash in my D4 this week caused by a third party in a builder's van. You should claim for any personal injuries caused and get his insurers to cough up for all repairs including a new rear bumper if needed. And yes, get your D3 checked over just to make sure, again the cost of this can be sought from the other party's insurers. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Sorry to hear about your crash. Glad you're ok. But this utter BS about claiming for "injury" makes my blood boil. People who peddle this crap cost us all a fortune. If one has a legit claim, they should go for it. But too many tossers try it on and then bitch about increased premiums.
People like that should be thrown off ferries. At night. To avoid any chances of rescue.
Not saying that this applies to the original poster, of course. It's just a general point about the way things seem to be going. V sad.
As a minimum you should get the car checked out by a dealer and bill that to the company. I imagine parking sensors will be screwed?

Agree with you pagoda - it was only after my experiences this week that I have slightly changed my mind about claiming for damages - I've had to cancel important work jobs this week and next week not just because of lack of wheels but due to medical reasons. And as the idiot who caused my accident shouldn't even be on the road in a way (he may well not be for much longer if the Gardai prosecute him for causing the accident) pulled straight out into my path then tried to turn right when I went to avoid him to his right, obviously not looking in his mirrors, one does begin to get a bit fed up of such idiots and suddenly the whole point of claiming takes on a new perspective! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

On a rather serious note: tell your insurance company about your back and neck problems.
I only did this after about two months. I ended up bot being able to work for more than half a year, caused by headaches coming up after three weeks. As a business owner, I'm sure you can imagine this was not something I was longing for.
The other party could not be held liable as I didn't mention it right away and therefore my claim could not be connected to the accident with 100% certainty (although they did pay 'some' money).
Just my 2 cents.
