Must be Christmas car has broke. Thinking EGR |

Marvellous, need the car and it's taken a dump.
It's the old gutless motor until the burble spins up. I had a similar problem when the nearside egr valve died. was easy to diagnose, I had fault codes and the real time readings on the Nanocom clearly showed a stalled valve.
This time I had one historic code relating to bank "B" which once cleared didn't return. No other fault codes present in engine ecu. Car remained gutless under 2250 rpm when it then takes off like a scolded cat.
Looking at the Nano live readings this time both egr's are hardly moving from the 5% position. This is for the actual valve positions and the request signal from the ecu. Boost pressure is good, injector readings are all mostly under 1000 mark all temps ok.
Car has done 90 k miles offside egr replaced by previous owner around 50k miles but 5 years ago. Nearside valve done this year.
So I guess my question is, can I have a faulty EGR without a fault code? Car is euro4 compliant. Does bank "B" refer to nearside or offside valve? Am I barking up the wrong tree?
