MY12 vs MY13 HSE
Hi guys,
Has there been any meaningful upgrades on this year's model i.e. in terms of the infotainment system, etc ?
I know they've introduced the black pack and a range of new colour to choose from but more interested in technical upgrades to the car and its features.
Thanks

MY13 infotainment is way better than previous years.
Beyond that, not much. You now have to pay extra for the piano black otherwise its the cheap grey painted plastic on the MY13 HSE - although the standard cheap HSE trim is temporarily withdrawn due to quality issues.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

It actually responds at a proper speed:
Gosh, that would be nice. Driving a wonderful MY12 and whining about the entertainment system response time is a perfect example of "first world problems", but I can't help it, I'm from the first world and it's a problem.

Not sure that Robbie was whining - Just making an accurate observation as far as I can see. I agree with him totally, the new infotainment speed is a vast improvement on the last one. We are not all whingeing Poms you know !

Thanks for the welcome.
No the only person here that's whinging is this Australian. I'm pleased they've improved it in the MY2013, it would be great if when I take mine in for its first service it comes back with a software upgrade that fixes it, but I'm not counting on it. It sure is slow now, as many have noticed.

When mone is in for service I am going to complain that the reversing camera and reversing sensors are a safety issue and not fit for purpose. With the time it takes to come on you will already have hit a child. See if we can get somewhere on getting this fixed.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Sat nav is not the only thing that ia slow. Reversing camera is a safety issue as it is slower than the MY11. There is a reasonable expectation that it would not be slower.
The issue is compounded by the reversing sensors not operating until the camera is active. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Apologies for going slightly off topic but I do find the slow response on the MY12 infotainment screen immensely frustrating.
Has anyone got any idea if there is any kind of meaningful fix ?

It's so slow you feel like you could make a cup of tea and come back only to find out it still hasn't done what you wanted.
