Can anyone tell me what this is behind the cup holders on my 2015 Disco4? I suspect an ejector seat, but don't want to try it out.

Gearbox release lever should you ever need to recover the D4 onto a tow truck and the gear selector is stuck in the lowered position.

If you undo the two screws on the plate and remove it you will find a metal wire with a loop on the end which is the park brake release cable.
