Nav on the Move

Hi folks, appologies coz I know this has been covered at some length in differing threads over time but I cant find an answer to my problem. - (yes "search" is a wonderful thing Laughing )

1759 is talked about quite a lot about allowing you to input addresses while the car is moving. When I enter this code, I dont get any joy and the options to input addresses get greyed out when I start moving.

I also tried the other code (which escapes me while I write this). I have tried entering both codes in the Nav diag screen and also the main menu diag screen but still no joy.

Incidently 753 works in both diag screens so I can look at all the pretty statistics about my car but the nav on the move code(s) just wont do what they say on the tin. I have the 2007/2008 disk and by all accounts by reading the numerous threads on here I should be good to go......but alas no! Big Cry

Any ideas ? any other codes?
Thanks

Firstly ..you are entering the wrong code ..secondly you have a newer disk which takes away the the old 1791 code..after 2006 the disk came with a "loader .Kwi file ...which disabled the hack code

Sorry ..but only way is to get dealer or somebody with diagnostic stuff to enable it

Again Thanks - no probs, I can live with out it - while it would be useful, I'm not paying a stealer for an hours labour - I bet the job only takes a few mins.

Then you would loose Wink
The job takes a minimum of 2 hours programming time which can be double that at a dealers.

Unnecessary quote removed

Wow that surprises me - my experience of such things usually shows it's just a quick parameter change or two then go make a fresh brew while reflashing the new config. Thumbs Up
Thanks anyway.

Colin,

Why did you wait so long? Wasn't your car the D3 test dummy?

Mine did not have Nav at the time Roel, so we had to do most of our testing on the bench, although i did borrow a sport Shocked Shocked Shocked
And of course had input from Wiggs.

However now i have finished up speccing my D3 from Low line base to the Mutts Nuts with cherries on top
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic37092.html

I then had to give my own car the Wiggs treatment. Very Happy

I also remembered that Gabriella said that she couldn't test the Nav on the move while moving so that should have given me a clou.

Nice write up of you specing up your D3. You are a brave man.

The updating of other MOST modules requirement to enable Nav on Move is just total money making horse poo IMHO.
And the dealers IDS has always been a bit iffy on some modules on some updates. The current version is 118 but the previous 117 had a release note on one of its patches saying that it had fixed the Amp reprogramming for sport but the D3 would be fixed some time in the future. Shocked

Our stuff ain't perfect by any means and despite the fact that we already provide some features and capability that the dealers IDS cannot, it will be some time before we have the same all round capability as IDS, but i did 3 Nav on move updates in succession the other day, 2 on the bench and one in my own newly updated D3, and it never missed a beat once. when you consider that we have a billionth of LR resources at our disposal, it does make you wonder. Shocked Shocked Shocked
