Near side rear passenger door lock

Am I right in saying that the item below is what I need with a keyless entry?
That’s left side rear lock?

Excellent. Got no option but to replace . Easy enough job ?

Do the door card clips break ?

It's not too bad a job. Need the door card off and window regulator out to get access to the latch assembly. The exterior door handle also needs to come off. None of my door card clips were damaged but the exterior handle cap will almost certainly need replacing as the clips break very easily. I have one on order!

Hmm just spotted that this is broken ! I think this might be part of the problem! Need to order a spare don’t think super glue will work ! Sad need to wait for a new cable .

Ordered a new one from eBay, door lock still knackered . Cable not pulling anyway , oh well.

Ok to carry on, new cable arrived , much nashing of teeth . New actuator is in , new cable fitted. However problem has now changed. Door now opens from outside , however it does not open from inside ? It’s the opposite issue? Any clues ??

Nah it’s not that , stripped it back again and snapped that feckin cable clip again lol . I think I know what’s wrong , cable disconnected from actuator but I really cannae be arsed now. Door locks that’s the main thing . I’ll maybe have another crack at it another time . Currently super glueing the wee cable clip on my old cable . Idiot I am !!! Big Cry Laughing

they do seem very fragile i broke it when i did mine for the first time, also the n/sr seems to be the first to go and the most awkward to get at if you've big hands and right handed

i did the o/sf a few weeks ago that's much easier
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Plus 1 in being a pig where that cable keeps coming off, in the end I put some cable ties to prevent the cable coming off the actuator and door handle , along with using some long nose pliers to help get hold of the end of the cable tie

Really helped as u put the door card back on

Hope u get it sorted out and ur knuckles don’t suffer to much

Cable tie !! Now that’s an idea ! I’ll maybe have another crack at it tomorrow ! My only worry is that bloody door handle ( small cap ) I can see that breaking next. I got it off by pressing in the clips but noticed one of the clips was just hanging on ! Glued it as well and left to cure for 24hrs. Videos make it look a cinch but there are a couple of extra steps if your keyless entry !

Really hope the same cable tie trick works for u , plus if it’s relevant to u regarding clips and the risk of dropping them I’ve in the past tied some Cotten onto the clip then just cut it off after

Always the way where videos make it look so simple, lol , plus just found some picture of the keyless lock as wished to see how different it was , think this is rear passenger

Fingers crossed it all goes well

Almost forgot , instead of tape to hold the door glass I got a couple of window suckers,, found it a lot easier as could position them to prevent the glass from dropping

Plus one for pig of a job.

I did mine before COVID, didn’t really check the part as I’d given Bearmach the part number off the old one.

I couldn’t for the life of me get it to fit. When I put them next to each other the new one had a “soft close” motor attached that made it impossible to fit. Both the exact same part numbers though so just checked before you go mad 😂
