Need help to find sump guard diementions
Can anyone help me find a template for a D3 sump guard. I have a friend who is willing to make me one in his engineering shop but needs a plan to work from???
Anyone got template or plan to build a sump guard off of, any help greatly appreciated.

But the 1st part would be 99p, second free with it and you'll stop the publication after 11 weeks!!!

Sometimes its not just the price of materials and labour you need to take into account for the manufacturing of a part. I know people like RLD and the likes spent many hours if not weeks designing and perfecting a quality product from scratch.
Why not ask your engineering friend to do the same and pay the associated cost's ? I'm sure you'll then find it cheaper and easier to buy one of the ones already available.
TBH had i been offered the Winch type Mantec for £50 as you were, i'd still have the blokes arm as well

Simple start with cardboard then produce 5 or 6 sample designs over a period of time at xxxx cost. Then produce the one you want, should'nt cost you less than £1000 or so overall....
Maybe you could then sign up as a site sponsor at prob £1000 a year and sell them on here. To make ends meet you need to sell them at a price more than what is currently available.
Cheaper option is just to make one in cardboard and glue it to the car

kev
at the risk of sounding boring and having made a few bits and bobs, I can only reinforce what's been said already.
Add to that, you can't protect a disco 3 on the cheap or run one on the cheap either.
A decent size bit of Ali will probably cost you £40. Then you will have to bend it. Unless you have access to a press which will press somewhere in region of 70t then forget it.
Decent bolts which won't rust are £1 each
Keep your eyes peeled on eBay
what are you going to do if you're out and pop a couple of tyre walls?
That'll cost you a few quid!!Welcome "Lola"
