Need more internal power points
I have an A7 spec S model MY 2007 and want to have some extra internal
power plugs. Having no electric seats, I do have the 30 amp fuses in place
in the fuse box and a black box mounted under each seat with plenty wires.
There is a loom going into the seat, which I would assume to be for the seat
belt pressure sensor.
Questions:
1) Could this black box be the distribution point for the seat electrics in the
upper spec D3's.
2) If so, what colour wire would I be looking for, for the auto seat movement
to tap into.
3) If not, could I find them behind the front kick panels.
I am aware there is an unused aux power plug in the rear of the consul @
15 amp, but three is better than one.
Any help welcome.D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

The wires under the seat maybe the heated seats. They need activating via a different A/C console. I put two in the rear spot:

carverD3, thanks for the pic's, I have the same idea.
The only electrical item working on my seats is the pressure
sensor for the seat belt bong. Still, looking at the amount of
wiring going to these black boxes I assume LR has used a
common harness for all spec's. Thus my interest in a short
and easy route to the new plugs.
Took a test light and found the power is there on fuses 29
and 46 @ 30 amp, as well as empty relay ports R2 & R4.
From other posts R2/R4 have no fuses.
Would some one have a wiring diagram D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

I'm with Caver on this one.
Don't take auxilliary feeds from different circuits. The CJB is not expecting to see high current drains and 'funny things' on any of the D3 circuits that are not specifically designed and rated for this purpose. It will also monitor current drawn and can shut-off auxilliary circuits if it feels that they are misbehaving (i.e. too much current drawn / time switched on)
Although you could hack around the CJB and join into (hopefully the correct) fuses, the best bet is just to use the existing power socket wires you already have and take any power for accessories from them.
If you only want to quickly and safely add a 3rd power point, then pull the blanking panel off (as per CaverD3's second photo) and assuming that you have the same connector (chunky black + purple wires) then buy the following bits which will enable you to add a 3rd power point that comes on with the key in position II:
XVO500020: 2nd row power point/aux audio plate and cover
YXW500070PVJ: 2nd row power point to stick into the above
This will give you a quick and easy power point that looks/is factory-fitted and you will also reduce the risk of melting the CJB by tapping into the wrong places (such as the missing electric seats )
If you still need more, then you can go the DIY route and add a couple in parallel as per Caver's second photo and you can do the same in the luggage compartment too (the 3rd row power socket has a different part number, but I don't have it to hand).
If you need a permanent 12V socket, then it is best to get it straight from the battery through a suitable inline fuse.
I hope this helps.
