Need a proper transmission flush locally - Bristol / SWest

Hi all

So I have all the classic symptoms of needing a transmission flush - done around 100K mileage, noticeable rumble under load, surging revs etc etc..

Next step is getting it sorted - particulalry as we're about to get our first tin-tent. My question is who should I take it to (or get to visit me) to do the business. I live in Hereford, commute to Gloucester, but I'm happy to make a bit of an effort and travel wider afield if necessary.

Do any of you have experience of specialists (i'm hoping to avoid main dealer prices if possible) that can be recommended?

Cheers,
Christoff Thumbs Up

Thanks Bodsy - aware of 4-tech, but they dont travel this way too often and Cambridge is a bit of a trek too far.
I wondered if there were alternatives a bit closer to home...

Just to close this thread down, I've found somewhere in Bristol that does a Mega-Flush and I'm booked in today.

I'll let everyone know the results...

Glos road gearboxes for me too, much smoother box, less of the transmission bump, no more juddering and also reduced whine at 40mph in 5th. Very impressed, they booked me in and then dropped me into Cabot Circus where i found a starbucks and could work from there.

Would recommend them!

Yep, definitely a result. We were suffering a pretty noticeable judder under load and this has been completely eliminated.

They didn't offer me a lift anywhere! Mind you, I didnt ask either.

Christoff... Thumbs Up
