I had our local 'Chips Away' guy down to see mine (drivers side both doors done with a key or similar)
He took a good look and declined to do the work
Had to take it to LR Main Dealer who has a bodyshop and I must admit they have done an excellent job repainting both doors for a shade under £400

Mine was keyed but only about an inch
[down to white primer on a Java].
My LR dealer did mine for NOTHING!!!
[and they waxoiled the chassis whilst they were at it for NOTHING!!!]
Now that's as cheap as you'll get. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

The white didn't go with mine!!
Maybe it was grey?
Initially tried polishing, then reverted to touch up pen to fill in.
Stilled noticed it, so off to dealer. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Here's a tip for you to decide whether it can be buffed out by polish: run your nail at a right angle to the scratch, if you can feel a groove then its a spray job.
Next go to your local BMW/Jag dealership or local car supermarket, ask them nicely to give you the details of who they use, and offer them cash in pocket, you'll pay trade prices and you'll find there often very experienced at doing this job.
If you take to your local LR stealer, there only take it to the same place and add 30% mark up!!
If the panel did not need spraying and just a mop/polish, expect to pay less than £100, if its a spray job, should be anymore than £230.00
We had our TD5 Commercial completely mopped, both end corner bumpers resprayed, dents filled on the crease line on the roof (where someone took it through a car wash!!) and whole roof sprayed, cost £450. Our TD5 was met gold!!!

I have said it before and will say it again. This is more than minor criminal damage it is an act of terrorism. Its saying you cant go about your normal life / do this / own that because I dont want you to. It is the same as those who doctor supermarket food. The last notable to do this got 18 years for extortion. It should not be dealt with as minor criminal damage. If it happens to you report it to the police. Ask what is is being reported as.
It is an uphill struggle to convince the police CPS that it is more than minor but someone has to make a start.
The insurance companies should make a corporate approach .

Just tried the finger nail trick, its def deep enough to require a paint job.
Think its an insurance job if its costing 800 to repair.
Had mine done on the car park at Ikea in Wednesbury. My fault i suppose for going to Ikea !

had mine done about a month ago, across 2 panels, cost 400e to get it resprayed.
I wonder can you somehow fit one of the small pinhole cctv cameras to the disco and have it automatically record to a laptop or something when the alarm is armed? I would love to catch one of these scum bags at it.
