New 19" Goodyear Wrangler Tyres |
|
Looking through the latest Goodyear 4X4 literature at my local ProTyre branch today, I noticed that they included the 255/55/19 size in two more patterns in addition to the HP & MTR.
You can now have the Ultra Grip winter tyre, for wet,icy & snowy roads.
Also, the F1 on road performance tyre.
I've been a massive fan off the Eagle F1 (GDS-3 NOT the original F1 which was rubbish) for performance cars, excellent grip especially in the wet, so for those who are looking for ultimate on road handling, this tyre will hopefully be as good.

The F1's have been out about six months now. The only issues with the F1's is, they are directional, which is a pain if you have a puncture. Also, the tread depth at new is more car like, so not as much tread as a HP, so probably less mileage to be had from them.

True, that's the price you pay for performance.
I'm used to changing 2 tyres every 6-10k miles, so I'm thrilled that the Pirelli's on my D3 have loads of life left after 11k miles.

255/55/19 available in HP, MTR, F1 & ULTRAGRIP. I haven't searched the site, but I've got the literature,4x4 Tyres brochure, infront of me.
