My New “Used” D4 - oil / grease marks?

Hi Happy New Year to all.

Recently purchased a 2nd hand D4 TDV6 86k/km which came with a clear report from the independent mechanics before I bought it. The noted that it looked like the front diff had been off at some stage but said all clear. Absolutely love the car...

Putting Rock Sliders on and when I removed the lower door sill protectors found these oily / greasy marks on the first holes from the front on both sides - is this an ominous sign that the mechanics missed or ok to ignore. Never had these stains on my D3..

Bit late if it is a problem but I would rather know it now as we are planning a trip into the outback in a couple of months..

Cheers
Harry

Thanks for the replies..

Never heard of WAXOIL but google tells me it’s not a bad anti rust precaution so no worries 😉
