New burner or repair.

Every year my old burner has a lock down because of too many failstarts. I have it reset by my mechanic, but after a while it´s the same problem again. Should I repair it or buy a new ? BTW is it possible to reset the burner with an app., and if - which ?

Best regards Calle

I think you can just remove fuse to it in the engine compartment fuse box for half an hour or so then it will restart and go in ready for start mode.
Webasto software can also reset it of course.
But if this happens all the time i would maybe get it serviced.

Hi Calle,

without the diagnostic tool it is difficult to know what exaclty is happening with the FBH. Is it locking out completelly? or simply not starting?

I can possibly use the my diag tool (and perhaps clean the fault) for you. Also, is the FBH is partially running, it will be possible to see what is going on when it starts.

Drop me a PM and we can try to meet. If you are willing to drive here, I am in Lyngby/Sorgefri area until 9 Jan.
Or I can get to you (to get the car cold) if it is easy.

I agree with Kviasen, a service is probably a goosd idea. I will do mine in the summer Whistle
Also good idea to try the Reset of the FBH by pulling the fuse. https://disco3.co.uk/wiki/Fuel_Burning_Heater#Resetting
