New D4 Colours

Moochin about the Aberdeen dealer yesterday, spoke to the sales guy I know quite well about current wait times for a new D4 he mentioned that there are a couple of new colours being introduced in June. A mid blue similar to the old Cairns and a whiter white to replace the current creamy white.

Delivery for an order placed today would be early July. My D3 is 3 years old in September so just looking at options. Do I spend 2.5k on service road tax, warranty, tyres etc or just get a new one.

Just curious, if you ordered today would you be able to choose one of the new colours in June when it is 'confirmed'?

Any news on when the MY2011 specification will be confirmed or is that an unrelated event?

P.S. My dream colour spec would a gunmetal silver, similar to Porsche's GT Silver, with a 100% Arabica interior but I can't see that happening....

and from general experience, shop around before ordering, as Aberdeen can be a rather expensive place Shocked

Tell me - I've lived here for 30 odd years Evil or Very Mad Thankfully we get inflated Oil industry salaries to compensate Laughing

Not much discount to be had anywhere on new D4s, seems 5% is as good as it gets. As they're mostly built to order I can't see this changing anytime soon. The new colours / specs are not available to order until formally announced.

You could always become a farmer for a year and get another 5% off ontop of what the dealer offers you Whistle

The 5% way outways the cost Wink

Well I was quite astounded not just at the "deal" offered but just how better the level of customer service was elsewhere compared with dealers I had dealt with in Scotland (& I am generally very loyal to local business).

Sad to say but "complacent" Shocked is the best description of some dealers (not specific to LR) in Scotland who seem to forget that the oil will not last forever Crying or Very sad

Fuji White, Baltic Blue, Siberian Silver New
Going but not to be forgotten - Alaska, Buckingham, Izmir.

I recommend a colour to compliment the glow of the DPF clogged light which will probably be lighting up all the time!

Any rumours of new interior colours? A choice of only two (or you could say two and a half) seems surprising compared to other makes out there. Sad
