Hello. Just taken delivery of a 2016 HSE Lux. Really impressed with it so far. Smoother and nicer to drive than the FFRR I traded in. This forum has loads of useful info and some real experts, so I have my first question for you all: there is a small tube poking out from the underside of the wheel arch on the offside rear. What is this, and is it supposed to be poking out? I’m guessing it’s an overflow from the fuel filler nozzle or some sort of breather tube. Can anyone tell me?
Thanks.

Welcome
It's supposed to be there
Can't remember exactly what it's for but as you suggest it's either an breather or overflow tube.
Takes any fuel you spill if you slightly overfill the tank to stop it running down the side of the rear wing. Should be attached at the top to a slight gutter below the fuel filler.
There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to put your phone within reach in the centre console. Any other ideas for where to put your phone?

Get yourself a Brodit Proclip. They do 2 positions for the D4. One by the lower console and one just to the left of the steering wheel. I use both in mine and love them. No screwing into panels and no bending or damaging trims.

It’s likely to be the panoramic sunroof drain pipe if it is by the rear offside. I had mine refixed last week when disco was in for other things.

I have these on all 4 doors. Not bad but when you put your phone in you can’t pull the door handle easily. You can tell they are not factory items too. But handy all the less!

Hope not, I had a dribble of diesel out on mine when I filled up today.

Same here but more than a dribble last fill-up when pump handle didn’t click off. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Won’t bother with the door handle boxes. They look a bit flimsy and it would be annoying not being able to use the door handle properly.
Any photos of the Brodit phone mount please anyone?
