Moving over from the Defender2.net forum with the acquisition of a Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto, using my Defender 110 Crew Cab (Puma) as part exchange. Will miss the charisma of the Defender and the big smiles that it can create, but glad to be back to an auto transmission and more comfort.
Tonga Green. Pictures to follow. The older I get, the better I was.

Totally amazing off road. No drama, it just goes. (I suppose the BAS remap helps...)

Any events planned in the summer James? I will be down in Estoi with the D3 and would love to take a trip with the locals through the Algarve.CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS
The event was organised by www.xelbland.com in Silves. I still have the road book if you wanted a copy..The older I get, the better I was.

D4 HSE MY12 Marmais Teal: Gone. Missed a lot!
Freelander 2 SD HSE MY11 Silver:Thankfully gone.
D4 HSE MY11 Silver: Gone missed !
Range Rover Sport MY06 HSE Buck Blue: Gone missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Facelift MY Red Gone Missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Cobalt Blue: Gone Missed!
Discovery D1 Auto Oxford Blue Not missed at all!
Discovery D1 Avalon Blue First LR! missed!
Not at all.
Purchase taxes are huge but they are linked essentially to cubic capacity and CO2 emissions.
There are also some strange rules. For example the price difference between a 110 SW and a 110 Crew Cab is about 32.000 euros (yes thirty two thousand euros), because the Crew Cab is considered "commercial" (cargo area is separate from the cabin). Before tax, the price difference is 500 euros.
A D3 costs about 80 to 90.000 euros here. When I see people complaining about prices in the UK, I have to smile.....The older I get, the better I was.
