New Freelander Engine?

I was just looking at this article and thought it could be a version of the New Freelander2 engine?

Considering it is rumoured to be a 2.2l Td4?

What do you think?

I thought the existing Ford 2.2 powerplant was being used for the FL2 Confused 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I read the other day that the FL2 may be using the diesel engine from the Volvo XC90, as Volvo are part of the Ford Premium Group. Matt

Not sure about the diesel from the XC90 going into the FL2 but the new petrol is, 6cyl 3.2l but I dont think its going to be cheap to service tho.

The Volvo is a 2.5l TD5? Isn't it? (Don't get them here yet)

The rumoured diesel is a 2.2l TD4, yeah?
