NEW GAS BBQ?

After a new gas BBQ been looking at the Camping Gaz Fargo anyone have one?
Are they ok?
Or what do others use?
I'd love a weber Q100 or Q120 but there a tad expensive in my opinion...

I bought one from Lidl a week or so ago for £29, fantastic bit of kit, don't get me wrong I have just about every BBQ or cooking system you could want, from Cadac to Cobb to Jetboil to electric induction to 12v Microwave but cleaning them is a pain, so went for disposable option i.e. Lidl, but from what i have seen of it, it is fantastic and I have used it about a dozen times, so from being bought as disposable it will certainly be a keeper, even bought a cover for it that cost rnearly as much as the BBQ itself Laughing

I know exactly what you mean.
Which one did you go for from Lidl?

I only saw one about 2 weeks ago, it was next to a wood chipper thing that chops up branches up to 4cm diameter.........................so I bought one of those as well Rolling with laughter Great bit of kit, now supplies all my wood chippings for boundaries, great for recycling Thumbs Up

So all this you get what you pay for is absolute nonsense, all you get is ripped off, what does make good sense is to KNOW what you are looking for, use your judgement experience and skills and source the best for your requirements, I have done that Thumbs Up

For all your camping needs I would go for the Cadac gas BBQ, small and light for use when caravanning. It is also big enough to cater for a small garden party of about eight. Packs up into it's own little bags. Easy to clean, carry and store . Used one for about five years now never let me down.

I have one but it doesn't have coals, it's a very clinical cook but as you say very easy to clean and there are lots of accessories for it, if you tim eit right you can get a great deal on a complete package Wink

All it is is a ring of gas, at least the fake ones use ceramic coals that the juices and fat can burn on to give flavour, as I said Cadac is clinical, easy to clean and quick, but no way is it a BBQ it's a ring if gas. I'm taking my Cadac and a proper BBQ to France, both have their uses and in some places only gas is allowed.

By the way, I use a liner on my Cadac which is so easy to clean, they are on offer here http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/cadac-non-stic...r-p139987. Pretty much just wipes clean no mess Thumbs Up

Search for Cadac non stick cooking liner. The half price offer is at www.gooutdoors.co.uk trust me it is amazing, been using mine for 2 yrs, no mess, the Cadac one is circular but you could cut it Thumbs Up

I'm on my mobile, if you find the liner can you post a link for others here as I am sure they will benefit if they haven't used one, funnily enough I was just packing up my Cadac this morning and working out what accessories to take as I have the complete set and don't think I need it all, the liner was a definite Thumbs Up

I use it on my skottel, the teflon liner needs no oil or fat, heat proof to 260 degrees, 18.9" diameter
More info here www.biltong2u.co.uk/cadacliner.htm

If link works

I was hoping to get this summer out of my BBQ,but came home yesterday afternoon to find the kids had kicked a football against it and it had basically disintegrated.....on closer inspection it was totally rotten.
I think I'm going for a wooden frame one,as I'm getting a bit bored of the salt-laden air round here quickly destroying metal framed ones. Evil or Very Mad
