New gearstick gaiter with photos
So I bought a leather gearstick gaiter off eBay and fitted it today
Here's how it did it
First off unclip the gaiter from the consul it just flips up
Next the gearknob it pulls off straight up with a bit of force
Then turn it inside out and remove the rubber ring at the gearknob end
That's it stripped down
Now remove the old gaiter from the plastic surround just pull it apart
Then start the refit by positioning and glueing the gaiter in place I used super glue
Now turn the gaiter inside out and refit the rubber ring it's tight and fiddly but no great problem
Next trail fit and trim the gaiter and refit ( it's not perfect but it looks the part )
A side by side comparison
All in all a nice touch to the inside of my disco , time scale half an hour cost about £20
Well worth it.

EPB serviced

De-tango done

Another update
The gaiter was not sitting right as it's thicker leather so using a heat gun I moved the locking tabs further out then warmed the leather around the gearknob to make it more pliable a get a better fit looks much better now All transmission oil replaced
3 flash indicators
All timing belts changed
EPB serviced
De cat fitted
Wind deflectors
De-tango done
Tints fitted
