New LR3 owner. Now I understand what a Permagrin is...

Bought my first Land Rover about 10 days ago - a 2006 Chawton White LR3 with 10K miles.

This thing is Bow down FANTASTIC.

It is replacing an Audi A4 that I loved, but which was way too small for our kids. My wife was going to be the primary driver, leaving me our Mercedes E350.

The E350 is Very Happy but the LR3 is Mr. Green

The only problem now is the morning fight over the LR3 key!

You guys love white motors Wink I've not seen any here in the UK were the most common colours are silver and black.

Who needs botox when you own a D3 (LR3), your facial muscles will be excersised every time you drive it 8) 8) Keep enjoying the moment Thumbs Up

Hi OCPaul,

Was wondering which Orange County you were in till I discover the link to the map. DOH!

I was in L.A. a couple of years back, found orange county and was able to visit Boyd Coddingtons, Chip Foose & John Force work shops.
AWESOME!.
Will be in Las Vegas later this year to go to SEMA.
Any of the D3 or LR3 guys get to SEMA? Would be great to meet up.
Was able to meet up with Sideview in Florida last year & had a good time.
Regards

Never seen one in the flesh, well not yet Wink Even the Highways Agency in the Midlands have silver D3's and the Police have silver RR's (along with the yellow and blue chevs).

Speaking of Slimer, I'm sure I spotted him on the 10th January whilst we was on the way to Newark, not many around with that amount of kit on 8) He was moving too quick to notice the colour Whistle

Thanks for the comments guys.

I wasn't too sure of the white at first. I haven't bought anything but a black car in a decade, and when my local dealer called to say he had a low mileage white in, I initially passed. I now like the "stormtrooper" look that it has Smile

I am thinking of getting the black hub logo's and perhaps the front and rear logo's as well. Maybe I will add the piano black interior... that maybe overkill though Smile

Nick - I might get to go to SEMA this year. A friend may get tickets through his friend who has the most outrageously modified BMW 840ci I have ever seen. Let me know your plans and we can definitely meet up. Always nice to meet fellow brits out here in the wild west!

BrumLee - There are so many people with that "Botox look" in my part of the world. I need to ask if they are LR drivers before assuming they have had Botox Mr. Green

8) White is one of my favourites colours!
Looks very good in a D3, in a RRS and any clean design car. (LR, AUDI. etc.)
It is a popular colour in NA including Mexico. White was the presentation D3 at my dealership in Mexico on 2005.
Congratulations!Thumbs Up

That's a great looking G4! The white is nice in the desert climates - my black car looks incredible for a day or two after being detailed, and terrible after the dust settles on it. The white seems to last a week or so Smile
