United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3
New Owner!

Hi all,

Spent the last week looking for a Discovery 3 HSE since writing off my Discovery 2 and have finally found the one that I was after! So went and looked at a 55/05 today, with 60k on the clock, and all the goodies that the HSE brings to the party!

Anyway, had a very good look over the car, tested every button, switch, seat and option, and all is good! Paid a deposit and will get delivery on Thursday next week.

How so much more quiet the Discovery 3 TDV6 is compared to the old TD5!

A couple of questions if someone could help me with?

1. Does the 05/55 year HSE model come with a AUX input for MP3 players, and if so, where is it?
2. Can the Sat Nav system that is factory installed be updated, as it's DVD based?

Anyway, can't wait to get delivery, and get behind the wheel of another Landy, as I am sick of driving "normal" cars with such bad visibility!!!!

Cheers, Mark.

Superb!

Cheers chaps, and PM'd TLO for the info.

I have to say that the D3 Sat Nav is rather primitive compared to the Co-Pilot Live I use on my iPhone 3GS! I am thinking that the software for the D3 hasn't changed much, and the updates are probably to the base map data only!

Not the end of the world, as also have a TomTom unit which works ok!

Just a couple of other things, sorry!

1) The keys to the D3 have a battery symbol on the back, and say something like 'Recharge' on them. Does this mean these use rechargable batteries in them, and charge when in the car?

2) Does the D3 still have the concept of a EAK code?

Cheers guys and great to have joined the D3 club!

Mark.

And me - I'm still running with the 08/09 disk that Cuzzy fitted! Shocked I'll wait until next year to replace it, though, as I'm away for 6 months at the end on July ...
