I've been running with a set of series flaps (front & rear) on the D4 for a while, however found that I wanted them to be a little longer. I couldn't find anything suitable but ended up having a chat with Bowler Motorsport & had a set of their Rally Flaps delivered yesterday (Matt was a pleasure to deal with).
Have just spent half an hour getting them on & happy so far. They sit approx 90mm longer than the series & I just picked up the 3 holes i had previously used with an M6 40mm bolt.

I don't think they'd last long if you reversed 'off road' but would certainly be ideal if you have no intention of 'off roading'
I reckon they would be better on the front to keep the side of your vehicle clean for a little bit longer.
I will be looking into this as I have already 'ran over' my rear ones so they need replacing but if I was careful I may get away with it.
It's done 2 tours of the Scottish Borders Hill Rally course, miles off Tarmac in Nirthumberland, Yorkshire & Cumbria with the Series ones & all without mishap, the flaps are fitted as standard to the competition Bowler 90's, Wildcats, Tomcats & suchlike so I'd say they're fairly proven.
Either way they're a step up from OEM both ifrom an aesthetic & practical point of view. Paul.

A set of the series ones will cost around £30-40 & need cutting (as will the Bowler ones) These are thicker & longer, you'd need to speak to Matt at Bowler to confirm costs as I had a few bits of them. Alternatively my old series ones are pre cut & pre drilled & need a new home.Paul.

They do look good, but I too would have concerns about reversing off-road and fouling them.....
Seem to remember Russell shredded his which may have been to do with the length of the drop
Look good though, and I know that's the most important thing to you "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Euan, we all have concerns about your reversing! :
You all seem concerned about reversing off Rd, I was taught to go forwards properly the 1st time.
I'll see how they fare sooner rather than later though.Paul.

I have to admit I can't blame anyone else for that one,I beached it in a foot of snow with soft mud below it.....that's just after being hauled out by a Defender...oh the shame !
Mud flaps stood up pretty well to some serious abuse those 2 days though..."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

If your worried about reversing into them . You could add a chain and loop to hook them out of the way like when used on some defenders . Then let them down for road use .
I don't think they will Simon, they're now sitting at the same level as the front ones which have had some testing on rough ground & never had an issue with them.
