Welcome to the site
Where in France are you off to and are you going solo or towing. We are off there at the start of Auh=gust towing the tin tent
No specific issues I can think of that will make any diffrence in France. Howeve the D3 is abeast of its own and will throw a wobbly when it feels like it. Just look after it and do all the normal things like fuel water etc.
Brake light bulbs are known to cause issue if they blow, and are very fussy, buy a couple of genuine LR ones and keep them in the car Otherwise enjoy the car and enjoy France. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Just don't forget they drive on the wrong side of the road.
Allegedly.

As already mentioned (I think) take spare rear brake light bulbs (as a blown one can throw up all sorts of wierd errors)
Make sure you know how to change a wheel in the event of a puncture, getting the spare wheel off/back on can be fun when doing for the first time
And above all, enjoy the ride, a D3 is like no other Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k

04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

Remember that the D3 is fusssy & only fit LR Brake light bulbs.
