Newbie hello - new car Thursday

Hi all,

I have just joined here and wanted to say hi, I px'd my Range Rover L322 on Saturday for a 2011 D4 HSE, it's in Siberian Silver and apart from the 5 cameras it appears pretty loaded, dealer has fitted new pirelli Tyres and just serviced so I hope not to have a concern for a long time !!!!

I chose the D4 as I wanted something newer with a capacity to tow a large caravan which I intend to buy later this year, I read the car is the best and when I test drove it I was actually surprised at the power and the refinement, I loved it !

I hope it will live upto expectation Smile

One question I have, I had a set of RRS stormers with winter tyres for my Rangey, tyres are exactly the same size as the disco as it's on 20" wheels, will the Stormers fit the D4, I believe they will but any accurate thoughts ? I do winter response work and the difference in the rangey with winter tyres was incredible...

Look forward to being a part of the forum

Thanks

Barry

Wow wow wow !!!

Collected today from Southampton, drove to home in Surrey and then a hack to Watford and back....

What a cracking car, power but refined, smooth yet firm...

Love it... really do... off to Devon tomorrow so will report back longer run thoughts, so averaged 32mpg....

One Question.... the trailer menu I presume is available only when a trailer is connected ???

What a cracking car !!! and the Siberian Silver is really nice to boot Thumbs Up

Welcome.

As someone else who has come over from the Range Rover side of LR ownership I was also amazed at the versitility of the D4 ....... comfort, power & poise!

I drove to Sunderland & back in a day to collect mine, the only problem I had on the way back was I kept unintentionally speeding! I haven't got cruise control on mine but it's so quiet & powerful I didn't realise my speed was creeping up each time. Apart from that it was 5hrs non-stop & I felt as fresh at the end of the day as I'd felt at the beginning.

Even with all the toys I've put on mine it still returns 31mpg, substantially more than my RR ever did.

I've just spent the weekend at Silverstone using their off-road course to raise money for the Air Ambulance Assoc and the car behaved faultlessly.

I left it looking dirty for a few days, I like people to know that despite being only 2yrs old this is a 4x4 that is used as intended! Commuter, Response Vehicle, Off-Roader ..... all in comfort. Thumbs Up

This forum has also proved to be a font of knowledge, very active & friendly ...... much more so than some other LR forums I've been on.
 Nick

2010 D4 ....... now gone and replaced with a 05RRV Autobiography
