I think the two real big ones to worry about are a snapped crank, or both turbos need replacing.

If they can luckily be avoided, then it’s just really going to be normalish maintenance

Hopefully routine and timely maintenance will pay off. That and not thrashing it, obviously. Intermittent click from inboard side of RH rear suspension needs investigation, as does failed bonnet release. Hopefully both are easy fixes.

you say not thrashing it, but I personally would tend to disagree a little.

no engine likes bimbling around towns etc at minimal revs all the time, least of all a 3L V6 Diesel. So IMHO it doesn't hurt to once in a while open her up and blast off the cobwebs. Not all the time obviously but just finding a happy balance. The V6 on song is an exceptional sound.

Agree with RogB.

When I had the inlet manifolds replaced the garage did suggest that once in a while I gave it some heavy right foot to clear "things" Very Happy

It does get opened up occasionally, and for something the size of a small conservatory and with similar aerodynamics, it goes very well! I must get round to sorting the reversing camera for use with a trailer, but sorting the bonnet release is probably more pressing

Whilst we avoid sharing the "how to" for opening the bonnet, it can be done.
