to add another - my mom (who is 86) has a cyst on her back - saw GP about it, and gets a follow up letter to say come into the surgery and we can remove it. So my missus takes her along, only for the person who is to do th job say you havnt stopped taking your blood thinning drugs. Mom has the letter with her and there is no mention of her having to stop taking them prior to going along. When mom says "but this is my GP practice - you know what drugs I am on, why didnt you call this out" the person says she will have to ask mom's GP and they will "probably" have to refer her to hospital.
A complete waste of a morning for my missus, and a slot at the GP that someone else could have used had the GP practice got its act together.
