Nicked by a D3 Owner?
Got up this morning and noticed the rear door bottom plastic trim had pulled away exposing the little yellow lugs, wedged only at the corner by the plastic wheel arch trim.
Thinking it had simply pulled away (heat, quality issues etc), I pushed it back on, but then it struck me, the rubber seal was missing. Compared it to the other door and yup gone.
Now call be cynical, but that's been nicked to order?
That's a bit rough!! It's pretty bad when Landy owners are stealing from other Landy owners.
Maybe he didn't own a D3, might just have a rubber fetish! Have a nice day!

Call me cynical - the members map is a great idea! I just hope no one has pinpointed exactly where they live. I know the theiving morons could just drive around until they found a car that suited them or maybe even follow you home but the map makes things a little easier to choose colour, specification etc.
I personally don't have the confidence to have my location up - as it takes the boys in blue half an hour to get here! Some say the glass is half full. Others that it is half empty. I say 'Are you drinking that?"

You could just do what I did, and put your location in as the centre of the nearest town. It's close enough to give other members an indication of where you are, but not specific enough to lead thieving scrotes directly to your door.

I didnt put my home address on the map, just a reasonable approximation of my office, but it's a good point re. the map thingy and sound advice. Mind you, my car like all of ours, are pretty distinctive and it would be seen around. Chester aint that big.
Checked my other door and they'd have had to given it an almighty tug to get the rubber out with the door shut, even levering the plastic trim off.
Dont see these on eBay at all so s'pose its Stealer prices. D3 HSE V8...

Not so many round my way - but if you check the Members Map I chose to show my location as where I am the majority of time... Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Maybe we just use the map to post where we want to be?
Sun, sea, sand.... I think our Australian members might find they have a few holiday squatters soon. 8)

Well last night, Slimer and I seriously considered swapping the 19inchers off his loaner with my STF 18inchers ....we were convinced they wouldn't notice. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
