Good work! 8)
Slightly off topic, but can I ask which TR mode you used? Was the snow deep enough to use something other than GGS? I'm always curious that the mode containing the word 'snow' is not necessarily the best for use in deeper snow.

You could have towed the fire engine, surely?
They are auto so cannot or should not be towed, but then again if they are trying to drive as well I would think that would be OKMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Good on you
I spent a couple of hours towing people up Detling Hill (steep hill between M2 & M20)as it was turning into a car park. People where astonished that I didn’t want anything for helping and that there are still decent people about.

With regard to tyres. I have normal Scorps, and find them more than adequate in most conditions. To be honest, in deep dry snow, your as good with Scorps, as with AT/mud tyres as the treads will clear. However wet snow, will turn to ice as you drive on it, and block treads. AT/Muds on ice are probably the worst combination, as there is less rubber in contact with the ice, to take advantage of any grip available. Winters are a good compromise on all fronts.
One thing for sure, The D3/4/5 will flatter any tyres capability with its electronics.

I used a mix....for pulling away I put it in "snow" mode, but once moving I switched all special programmes off"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Interesting, thanks. I guess that just shows how good the basic car is without any extra wizardry.
